Condolence: All has already been said. Worked with Bob at PPPL for years and we enjoyed many conversations. His sense of humor and smile I will always remember. Bob was very confident and generous. He helped many people.

Condolence: Kathy, As one of three or four of your next door neighbors during the 40 years you lived in Skillman, I was grateful of the experience as our children matured into adulthood. We both know it can be challenging to be the parent of a teenager, but you and Bob managed with grace and dignity to raise two beautiful, wonderful and accomplished daughters. Bob's service to the community was widely recognized and appreciated by those who knew him although it sometimes appeared that few knew the many hours he generously and selflessly donated to the residents of Montgomery Township. My favorite memory was the Christmas Eve visit by Santa Claus to Meadow Run where your grandchild was excited to see the Fire Truck (driven by your next door neighbor) deliver Santa with a gift. Bob certainly loved his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Best, Denis

Condolence: On behalf of the Catholic Community of St. Charles Borromeo, Montgomery Twp. NJ, I send to the Kress family our sympathy in this time of sorrow. Please know my spiritual closeness to you at this time. Bob was an important part of the history of the Township, as well as the history of this parish. It was a special grace to have shared so many important moments with the Kress family. What a great team Kathy and Bob were! And how proud he was of his darling daughters, their fantastic husbands, and the grandchildren in whom he found such joy. Bob was a gracious man of faith, and I was personally helped as pastor by his kindness and support. We will never forget him. And we live by the great promise of our faith: life is changed, never ended. We will one day see Bob again. Peace to his spirit.

Condolence: Sandy & Bob first met as juniors at Fitch HS in Groton. We had many classes together but junior year English stands out. We had to do a source paper for Mr. Nelson who was very strict. When ask why Bob hadn't completed sone part, he said "I just got my hair cut and like Samson, I lost all my strength". The class roared, Mr. Nelson did not. Bob never lost his zest for his grandkids, his Red Sox or his golf & we enjoyed discussing these & so much more at our ocasional lunches with Bob & Kathy. He was very competitive and it showed in his golf. No matter the affect of age he still thought his next shot would go in the hole. From now on all his shots will be "Hole-in-ones". We will miss him greatly.

Condolence: I was very fortunate to work with Bob on the renovations of Patton Hall, Dodd Hall and many other projects at Princeton University Campus. Bob was the most talented project manager, extremely generous person.We all loved him.Brilliant and amazing! I will truly miss him.

Condolence: Bob was a wonderful person, a fine professional and just a good guy. I had the pleasure to work with Bob at Princeton University – for many years – and Bob was recognized as a true professional and respected by all. I will always remember - as a fond memory - all the discussions we had about the township, and well as Bob wit and political experience. Bob - we will miss you.

Condolence: Dear Kathy and family. We were very sorry to hear about Bob’s death. He was a great neighbor and a good friend to us for the 15 years that we lived in Skillman. He was always generous with his time and help and always with that sunny, slightly wry smile and a twinkle in his eyes that was Bob. I remember playing many rounds of golf with him and John Teipel and we always had a good time whatever the scores were at the end. The repartee between Bob and John kept it light and was, at times, just plain hilarious. And, please excuse me, but I can attest that Bob broke 100 many times. We had good times together as families as well which made our years in Skillman so memorable. Well played, Bob. Our deepest condolences go to all of the family.

Condolence: While I knew "Mr. Kress" as a neighbor and father to my friend Julie growing up, we formed an even more special bond through my own Dad's passing. The tribute he gave to my Dad was so special and showed the depth of their friendship and Mr. Kress's kindness. Mr. & Mrs. Kress continued to touch base with me, sending a memory about my dad, a photo of my parents as the years passed. I am very grateful to have experienced Mr. Kress's friendship and can only hope my dear thoughts of him give some comfort as his words gave to me in sad times. Condolence: We are so very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. More than anything we will remember his smile especially in pictures with his three beautiful grandchildren. Condolence: My favorite memories of Bob involve vacations the four of us went on - of course Bob handled every detail - hotels, restaurants, even pitstops. He always included activities other would enjoy -even some he didn't i.e.the open market in Charleston. I'll miss one of my dearest friends. Have you set up your and John's tee times?

Condolence: I met Bob at our last two or three class reunions and took an immediate liking to this get it done, no nonsense, warm, and very smart guy. I regret we will no longer meeting at reunions and also that I did not know him during college years - he was an engineer, I was in liberal arts. Ave, atque vale, Bob.

Condolence: Let's hope that the Angel in charge of heavenly management was ready for Bob's arrival! Bob left us and his new Board job at Heritage Hunt too soon, but surely his spirit, drive, and expectations will continue. Condolence: Kathy & Family, The angels have gained a generous and kind neighbor. We were so sorry to learn of Bobs' passing and know what a loss this will be for you and all who knew him. He was a wonderful neighbor to us for fifteen plus years, always had a story to share and eager to hear what the kids nextdoor were up to. He enjoyed his Boston Red Soxs & New England Patriots, this was sometimes a little tough to swallow as the Yankee & Giant fans on the other side of the driveway! Condolence: I was lucky to work with Bob on the construction of the Princeton boathouse renovation and addition, for which I was the architect. Not only was Bob amazingly effective as project manager, he was generous and kind as well. We came away from the project as good friends. What a wonderful person!

Condolence: I got to know Bob when he was on the Transportation Advisory Committee. I am Montgomery Township Administrator and got to know bob in that capacity and as a Red Sox fan. Bob and I would spend hours discussing our favorite team. I will miss him. My deepest sympathy.
